Children sent to the US

Hi All:

I have a child sent to the US in 2003 - she was born here in the UK, lived here until she was taken at 11 months old without my knowledge or consent and voluntarily returned to the UK by her mother - then the High Court said she had to go back to the US - she was 18 months old at the time.

I would seriously like to meet up with other parents who have had children sent to the US and find out their experiences.

I read your story. I am sure many of us can empathise with you - I think the publicity helps in these horribly unjust situations. It will also help to make contact with others in similar situations.

I could not agree with you more - one of the features of these cases is how parents are kept isolated from each other by the very civil servants that should be actively assisting them - I strongly believe that it will only when there are enough parents banding together that a voice will be heard but until then we are problems that need administrative disposal rather than actually having the terrible situations our children face dealt with properly.
